El profesor japonés Inuhiko Yomota impartió una serie de conferencias sobre cine japonés en la Facultad de Artes y Letras de la Universidad de La Habana, y en el Instituto Cubano del Arte e Industria Cinematográficos (ICAIC).
La conferencia en el ICAIC tuvo como tema la figura del samurái y su representación en el cine, y tenía como objetivo un encuentro con realizadores cubanos.

Japanese professor Inuhiko Yomota gave a series of lectures on Japanese cinema, at the Faculty of Arts and Letters of the University of Havana, and at the Cuban Institute of Cinematographic Art and Industry (ICAIC). The topic of ICAIC's conference was the figure of the samurai and its cinematic representation, and the event was planned as an encounter with Cuban filmmakers.
